It knows what matters inside.

The friendly interior combines pleasure with utility: functionality and comfort are impressive from the pleasantly high seat position when driving to the low door edges, making climbing in easier.

The comfortable driver's seat with back-friendly lateral support is breathable, hard-wearing and can be adjusted manually to the your needs, as can the height-adjustable steering wheel. All the controls are clearly laid out and easy to operate. The instrument cluster is easy to read and further enhances the vehicle interior. And the standard heater and ventilation system as well as the optional electric power windows in the sliding doors make their contribution towards a pleasant climate.

The practical stowage concept offers much functional, conveniently accessible stowage space: the glove box holds up to 8.5 litres, the standard stowage compartment above the windscreen 12.6 litres, in the door stowage compartments you can find 4.1 litres twice and in the stowage compartment of the armrest 8.9 litres volume is ready to be filled.

The interior is made even more attractive with the chrome interior package, Design package interior chrome or Design package interior colour, available upon request.

The fun already begins on the road.

The Citan is a real source of driving pleasure: you'll benefit from its compact versatility in constricted city traffic, and you'll fully enjoy its great pulling power on the road from town to town or on the motorway.

One of its torquey diesel engines, with outputs of 55 kW1 (75 hp), 66 kW2 (90 hp), 81 kW3 (110 hp) or its advanced petrol engine with its output of 84 kW4 (114 hp) is certain to suit your preferences. The innovative BlueEFFICIENCY technology5 reduces fuel consumption and thereby protects your budget. Depending on the engine version, a 5 or 6-speed manual transmission is fitted that efficiently converts its driving power into traction. The optional 6G-DCT dual-clutch transmission6 combines the dynamic handling advantages of a manual transmission with the comfort of an automatic transmission system.

All the technical components are precisely attuned to one another – from the power steering and the spring/damper setting of the suspension to the powerfully-gripping disc brakes at the front and rear axles. That means that you can always relax and enjoy the responsiveness of the Citan.

Its efficiency pays off. Sooner and later.

Mercedes-Benz sees it as its duty to ensure that its design for the Citan, as with all other vehicles, helps shape the future of mobility in a responsible and sustainable way. In particular in city traffic, the Citan more than lives up to this billing. The state-of-the-art engines and innovative BlueEFFICIENCY technology5 keep CO2 emissions and consumption at a low level. And thus the Citan is a good example with consumption figures starting at 4.3 l/100 km1.

In budget terms, too, the Citan makes perfect sense. Not just on account of its attractive pricing but also due to its low running costs, which result from efficient fuel consumption and its lengthy maintenance intervals of up to 40,000 km.

Advanced engines, electrically-assisted power steering and the shift point indicator are the basis for economically-efficient driving. The BlueEFFICIENCY package5 enables your vehicle to be even more efficient.

Ready for any challenge.

The Citan has impressive seating all-round. With up to 7 invitingly comfortable seats7 and plentiful stowage space for luggage, it is ideal for enjoyable, safe trips – whether with the whole family or for major shopping at the DIY store.

On its comfortable seats with lateral support to relieve your back, as well as breathable and hard-wearing fabric covers, you'll feel the way you expect from a Mercedes-Benz van: outstanding. The high-grade and functional interior with lots of practical stowage compartments will help you relax even on longer trips. And the optionally available panoramic roof with 2 tilt roof windows lends the interior an especially friendly and bright ambiance. Besides outstanding ride comfort, the Citan impresses with 3-point seat belts with belt-force limiters on each seat.

Big on safety.

The Citan is also way ahead when it comes to safety: with ADAPTIVE ESP®, Brake Assist and ABS anti-lock braking system as well as powerfully gripping disc brakes, it impresses with short braking distances – even on wet roads. The independent suspension maintains contact with the road at all times. If you should have to drive on snow, slush, mud or sand, you can deactivate the ASR Acceleration Skid Control function.

If the worst should come to the worst, the three-point seat belts with belt tensioner and belt force limiters give excellent support. In the event of an emergency braking manoeuvre the hazard warning lights are activated.

The Citan is equipped with daytime running lights, hill start assist and up to 6 airbags as standard. Driver airbag, co-driver airbag8 as well as windowbags8 and thorax bags8, 9 can reduce the risk of injury in an accident. Assistance systems such as the light and rain sensor, tyre pressure monitoring8 and a reversing camera with display in the rear-view mirror which shows the surroundings of the rear of the vehicle, are available as options.

In spite of the covetousness the Citan is sure to awaken, you can relax in the knowledge that your vehicle will never fall into the wrong hands thanks to the optional anti-theft alarm system10.

These are the "measured NEDC CO2 values" according to Article 2, No. 2 of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1152 or (EU) 2017/1153. Fuel consumption values have been calculated on this basis. As a result of statutory changes to crucial test methods, higher figures may have been entered in the vehicle's certificate of conformity, a document relevant to vehicle registration and vehicle tax. The figures do not apply to a specific vehicle and do not form part of the product offer; they are provided solely for the purpose of comparing different vehicle models.

Further information on the official fuel consumption and the official, specific CO2 emissions for new passenger cars can be found in the publication "Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen" ["Guidelines concerning the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and electricity consumption of new passenger cars"], available free of charge from all showrooms and from the Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (www.dat.de) .
